OVHcloud expands its range of bare metal servers

OVHcloud - cloud service provider that manages more than 400,000 servers within its 33 data center on four continents - expanded its range of dedicated bare metal servers with new solutions, focused on density make sure performance superior in terms of processing and storage capacity.

Thanks to an even broader offer in the field of performance-oriented servers, OVHcloud intends to provide companies with the possibility of updating their infrastructure, in order to be able to cope the most critical data challenges.

Bare metal servers Advance-6 And Stairs-7 they use AMD and Intel data center processors.

The new bare metal servers Stairs-7 they are equipped with processors 64 Core AMD EPYC (Zen 3) ideal for the most intensive workloads linked high performance computing, virtualization or for containerization.

Bare metal servers Advance-6 are equipped with the processor 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable and Intel SGX Technology. This server meets the specific needs of confidential computing for use cases like federated learning, present in particular in the health sector. In this case, data confidentiality is not only vital but also preserved during the training phases.

The new server HGR-STOR-2 is a unique solution for data storage and archiving, offering up to 1.4 petabytes (1400 terabytes) of capacity. By combining SAS drives, up to 102 in a JBOD chassis, and an optional SSD, the server ensures low latency data access with high performance.

Particularly suitable for large accounts and institutions, the HGR-STOR-2 offer allows the creation of a data lake fully configurable. HGR-STOR-2 uses a private broadband connection (100 Gbps guaranteed) so that it can be integrated into a cluster or other OVHcloud products and services.

With absolute control over disks and volumes, it aims to meet the specific needs of customers, from file archiving to heavy database backup.

"These new servers effectively meet the flexibility challenges of users looking for specific work environments, in a reliable, reversible and transparent universe. We fully support our customers in meeting their needs with an adequate level of performance and commitment.", did he declare Thierry SouchéTechnical Director of OVHcloud.

OVHcloud's new bare metal offer benefits from the advantages of dedicated servers in terms of flexibility, control, performance, availability and unlimited bandwidth. Thus, OVHcloud provides companies with the best possible support for their workloads, work environments and ad-hoc technologies, while guaranteeing predictable prices.

Regarding availability, Scale-7, Advance-6 and HGR-STOR-2 bare metal are now available in France. The Scale-7 offer is also available in Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom, while Advance-6 servers are available in OVHcloud data centers in Europe and Canada.
